Making a clean sweep at Woods Waste

When you spend your days up to your eyeballs in other people’s rubbish, you get pretty good at spotting it in all aspects of your life – and Dave Woods, co-owner of Wellington-based Woods Waste, is not the kind of bloke that will give, or accept, rubbish customer service.

“If it’s waste, we’ll sort it out for you. We’ve got a wide range of skips, and can sort out anyone from a single residential address, right through to regular commercial waste management for a wide range of businesses. We’ve been doing it for nearly 20 years,” explains Dave.

“From our perspective, we work in a fairly competitive environment, so we focus on providing good, cost-effective service and we’ve got a good customer base that trusts us to do a great job. We expect the same from our suppliers, and we are definitely happy with the service we get from TeamTalk.”

Woods Waste connected to TeamTalk’s ActionNet network around a year ago, when their 15 year-old radios gave up the ghost.

“The thing I like the best, apart from the obvious benefits of a reliable communications platform, is the fact that the TeamTalk staff don’t treat you like an idiot. Sometimes it’s hard to explain a specific problem over the phone, but they understand and are quick to sort it out. You can’t ask for more than that.”

The new TeamTalk radios have enabled Woods Waste to be more efficient in their dispatch and management of their fleet – and because they don’t have to rely on cell phones any more, they’re saving money in call costs as well.

“The TeamTalk solution has improved the way we run the business, we’re always looking for new ways to do things and the new radios are part of that.”
